(resent, as last time, it thought my header was suspicious. Do we have any
moderators active? As opposed to list owners?)

While on the walk, our guide said that Victoria Tower (at the end of the
Housr of Lords) was the tallest free-standing tower in Europe when it was
built. I pointed out that was a lie, Kim disagreed.

Well, for those that were there, we were both right.

Victoria tower was the tallest *square* tower

but St Olaf's was the tallest freestanding building (I am sure Kim said
freestanding, hence my confusion. I don't like to be wrong :)
